You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia." But only slightly less well known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line."

Shouldn't a "newbie" be defined by date registered, not post count? A high post count doesn't say anything about the quality of the posts! A "veteran" could still have a low post count, but they post when they have something constructive to say, not just to post for personal satisfaction!

If you didn't post in the "save the f-body" forum then you are a newbie to me. Anti-newbie people should careful what they wish for, they may just lock themselves out of the forum.

even 'date registered' doesn't mean as much as you think. i've been reading threads on and off ever since I first stumbled upon this site long ago. it just so happened that i didn't find it necessary to register until very recently, because you guys normally answered any questions i had within your discussions and i found no need to register and post. with regards to the upcoming revelation of the concept, i do think that it would be nice for there to be threads that were more skewed to the newbies that don't know much of what's been going on for a while and need a little bit of education on all this, and a thread or so that's easier for people to sort out the seasoned views and insights that many long time members have. but that's probably not practical or whatnot. this site has been such a blessing to a guy that has been obsessed with the camaro ever since finding slides of his dad's brand new '78 Z28 (blue and beautiful) as a kid. keep up the good work!!!
