IOM eye candy....

I had my 1/10 (huge) RC model taken apart and painted IOM (code & color correct according to the GM color guide of 2009), the stripes are Olympic White w/ some pearl...I bought this RC at Walmart a couple of months ago, and it was originally silver...

This was my 'fix' over the Thanksgiving weekend.....the pic ideas and setup were done by Brian.....they were taken in our basement....it also had a couple of coats of Z2 and wiped down w/ Z6 before the 'shoot'

IOM is an unreal color...and pics really give it no justice....if you ordered IOM, you will NOT be disappointed

Sweet! Probably the closest I'll ever get to seeing what my Camaro will look like in IOM prior to delivery. Nice job!

I've given up on driving thru dealer lots looking for the color on a solstice or colorado. No cars moving out of their storage lots....so no new ones coming in.

Now take it outside and get a pic so we can see what it looks like in the sun.

Same here, we have given up on trying to find this color in dealer lots as well....I will take some pics of it outside this weekend, if it's sunny....was rainy all last weekend....

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what the stripes would look like ever since we found out they are stopping at the hood. Great looking 'car'.

You are welcome I went thru a lot of pics and photoshops out there on the world wide web and figured I am pretty close w/ the stripes. Either way, I am satisfied....for now

Nice paint job! Out of curiosity, how much did it run you?

It helped that I've had 4 of my cars painted there as well

Wow, excellent job. It looks really good, and just like pictures of the real car it looks red in some light, and orange in others. I thinks it's a great color, but too bright for me. I want to stand out, but not THAT much. Still thinking about black with the orange stripes though...

Nice work. I think IOM is one of those colors that will never look as nice in pics as it does in person.

I'm not a fan of the stripes not extending past the hood and so when I get mine I'll look into getting them painted on aftermarket so they extend to the edge of the front fascia.

I agree....this is a must see in person color....I haven't seen a camera yet to capture the color well....another reason I had this model painted....to get a REAL idea of how my car will look
