I drove a 2010 SS today!

Just realized the inside door handles remind me of chrome Third Gen handles. Anyone else notice that CAMARO is not centered on the steering wheel?

All the LS3 vette guys seem to say the same thing. CAI and a tune seem to make a big difference. Add headers and these motors sing!
Too bad people are saying any reflashing of the PCM is now detectable and voids your warranty.... We'll see how that goes.
Hell, Silverado pickups with drive-by-wire suck until they get a tune!! Mine felt a lot different after just a tune.

I wouldn't worry about the feel of performance. The IRS will affect the feel. The biggest difference is the Torque Management on these cars. It's much more aggressive then the old f-bod with limitations on aggressive throttle openings in the lower gears and spark mapping after gear shifts. Once tunes are done, the car will turn into a beast and traction will become an issue. The e-throttle feels very different also. Also, if you didn't turn off the traction control that will change the feel.
For those worried about the tunes being detectable, surf the G8 boards. They all ready have solutions to that. Stealth feature that makes the tune undetectable or just having a second tuned computer.

Overall I would have to say I was disappointed that the car didn't have that major rush of acceleration I was expecting, but very impressed overall with the entire car and especially with it's quality feel. The seats were very comfortable for sure, I just found the more upright position a bit different than what I've been used to.
It's also entirely possible that this car could be quicker in the quarter than the LS1 f-body, but just doesn't feel as fast since the LS3 is such a smooth engine and also doesn't have that peaky nature of the LS1 (which tends to feel sluggish down low but then kicks in hard at 3500rpm or so and hits you with a rush of power)

The exterior of the car is awesome, the seats don't LOOK that bad, but again I'll have to sit in them to see how they feel. The dash and gauges, though...

I haven't been able to sit in one (yet)... so I can't comment on the seat comfort. But I'll agree with you 100% on the gauges. Actually, I don't like anything about the dash at all. It's ugly and reminds me of those mid-80's base-model Mustangs... with each gauge in its own square "pod".

Have you seen the interior in person? I had some reservations about the interior as well, but after seeing one for the first time last weekend, all I can say is that it is right up there with the newest and best interiors from GM. Pictures do not do this car justice at all, interior or exterior!
