I find that hard to believe, but that would be very cool if that were true!

Hopefully someone else on here gets to drive one soon and will take notes when they drive it so they can write a more detailed report than me.
If it had leather, than it was a 2SS. No big deal about the ambient lighting. I hear you about paying attention to the details, I do the same thing. i can know everything there is to know about a car, then I actually get inside the car and everything goes out the window and I am only focused on just being in awe

I want a SS in Inferno Orange Metallic with Cyber Grey Metallic stripes and the orange accent interior so bad.

Ram Air on new 2010 Camaro SS

Thanks for the preview! Man, you are so lucky to be able to drive one. Looking at the pics can you tell us how the Ram Air works? I saw the airbox on the driver's side and away from the center intake. Is it all cosmetics? Thanks!

I have no idea how that all works, I'm sure someone else on here could probably explain it though.

In reality, it is a powerful sedan, but with just 2 doors.

This car is going to be a minimum of 500 pounds heavier than an LS1 Camaro. The V8 will have about 50 more horsepower and a similar increase in torque.
Acceleration should be close to a fully loaded LS1 SS. The gearing in the automatic should help quite a bit. One of the first mods that a manual transmission Camaro owner might do is change the rear end gears to something like a 4.10 which will greatly help with acceleration.

Oh yeah, I'm jealous of you Patman

Welcome to the board. This topic was beaten into the ground a couple of years ago. The mailslot on the nose of the SS is completely bogus. There is NO Ram Air on the Camaro sorry to say. But there is always the aftermarket.

Cool, thanks for sharing. Too bad you can't really comment on the cornering.

Mustangs had a similar 'feel' when going from the 04 to the 05 model. The new chassis was just so much better, that they didn't feel fast, yet they were faster. They were much more under control. Might be the same he experienced.

Nice pics and write-up. Thanks!

It appears to have had the orange interior. How did it look and did you per chance get a picture of it?

I didn't get any pics of the interior myself, but luckily there were lots of other people snapping pics yesterday, so here are three interior shots taken by my friend Peter:

Interesting that it doesn't have the orange door panels or dash panels. I know I had the option of orange leather when I ordered mine, and that was a prerequisite of the accent package. Makes me wonder if the door panels and dash panel are extra...?
