How fast will the Z/28 be in 0-60? 1/4 mile?
From the GM Launch site:
"How fast will the Z/28 be in 0-60? In the quarter mile?
The true performance of the Z/28 will be measured in lap times, not straight-line performance. To preserve the track-focused nature of the Z/28, it doesn’t have the strengthened differential and half shafts of the ZL1, and is not recommended for drag racing. The new Z/28 is designed to be the most track-capable Camaro ever produced by the factory."

Asking quarter mile and 0-60 times for a Z/28 is like asking what time a COPO Camaro turned doing Nurburgring

May not be an 11-second car (the 3100lb Z06 is good for mid-low 11's with decent conditions & driver) but the Z/28 SHOULD be good for ~12.0's I would think?? I would expect MPH to be around the ~120 mark, but really, I'm just pulling #'s out of my ****!

yeah its a track car but even on race days they do standing starts...... in that case, you want to get up to speeds as quickly as you can to gain an edge on your competition and be the first into turn 1...... 0-60 is still important in any type of racing.

First to turn one might be important if you're only running one lap. Ultimately, in any meaningful competition it's still going to come down to the grip of the car and the skill of the driver assuming horsepower is remotely close.

i was referring to the beginning of the race, and starting from a stop. but yes, the better driver always wins in a race with similar vehicles.which really defeats any numbers from a car at all then. because most drivers will not accomplish the times that the professional has accomplished in any vehicle.
