GTO Version of Camaro Concept

My first stab at a GTO version of the Camaro Concept. Needs alot more work, still looks too much like the Camaro. Mainly front end changes. What do you think? BTW, can someone make this black, I couldn't get it to turn out right in black.

Re: GTO Version of Camaro Concept

Dude I see nothing GTO about that car, nada not a thing. Were are the retro cues so to speak. An Arrowhead and GTO emblem alone does not make it a GTO.

I think I will photochop that into a GTO for ya.

Re: GTO Version of Camaro Concept

There are two major problems that I see when people post up GTO versions of the Camaro.

A. The proportions. It is the same size and shape of the Camaro, which does not say GTO. If anything it says Firebird. I think the GTO should have a longer wheel base than the Camaro, so that it can seat 4 or 5 more comfortably.

B. It does not fit in with Pontiac's current styling. Sure the Camaro will stand out from the Chevrolet line-up, but it uses a lot of the same styling ideas.

Reason B is the major problem that I also see when people post up Firebird versions of the Camaro. They just wouldn't fit in with the other Pontiacs.

Nice Chop though .

Re: GTO Version of Camaro Concept

I really like what you did with the headlights/front...Looks alot better than the original I know I won't have many people who agree with me but I think the new Camaro concept looks better as a GTO

Re: GTO Version of Camaro Concept

OK OK you validated yourself. Thats a great photo! That black GTO is very nice. I love those grill inserts!! I was gonna make my chop a Trans Am, but seeing that the Firebird/TA has no chance of coming back, I figured I better call it a GTO. NikiVee, are you working on your chop? Can't wait to see it. Here is a dark Charcoal version of my chop:

Re: GTO Version of Camaro Concept

That is a definite improvement over what has been shown. I like everything you did to the front better than the way it was. Anyone ever gonna' chop one of these cars with a sleeker front end on it? I'd be interested to see how it would look.
