The fuel inlet location??

The fuel inlet location??
Is the fuel inlet & cap location a Fed. regulated location, or is it possible to get it OFF the fender and to the center of the rear facia, maybe?
For a cleaner, more symetrical look..

Won't be there. At least I do'nt want it there. Too much of a possibility to drop gas on the paint, and we all know gas and paint doesn't mix!!!
I'd like to see it go somewhere behind the license plate, but I don't remember if that is regulation or not...

the GM B-bodies had the filler behind the license plate. I really like it. You can pull up to pumps on either side, there is no filler door/cap to break up the lines, and the filler neck doesn't snake all through the bodywork so much.

also have to take into account the new gas tank location for rear impact safety standards. the filler neck will have to go from behind the plate, over the rear axle, and past the exhaust to get to the tank.

Plus you have rear crash standards up at 50 mph without any fuel leakage or rupture.
You AREN'T going to see any type of fuel filler out back, let alone behind any lisense plate.

I like the way it looks where it is, but as mentioned above I don't want to have to wipe drips off all the time...but then again, maybe since you're pulling more vertically, there will be less to drip - I see myself throwing a hand under the nozzle every time I remove it, and in return, receiving awkward stares.
