all it is is buying the rights to put an order in. you can go to a dealership and do that for free.

It's extremely sad when dealers do this. We all have the choice to REFUSE CAMARO MARKUPS. There are plenty of Chevrolet dealers out there that will sell you the car at or below MSRP.

well if you wanted to push it, it is not a product they are selling. It is the "right to build and purchase" which sounds like a service to me. Its against Ebay policy.

With the economy and credit markets where they are I don't think very many cars will be sold at MSRP or more. I am glad I decided to wait a bit. I suspect within a few weeks of hitting the dealerships (perhaps a couple of months) these cars will be selling under MSRP. These dealers are delusional if they think this is another ZR1. Heck the ZR1 prices are dropping very quickly already.
