For a flight leaving at 0840 on Tuesday morning, how early should we leave the hotel in order to beat/account for the morning rush? We need to turn a car in at National too. Would like to be at the airport 1-2 hrs early. Thanks!

Also, when Googling the heritage center, which building is it on Center? The big one w/ the white roof at the end of the road on the south side?

2 hours should be plenty of time - unless there is bad weather, then I would leave earlier.

I don't know which building is the Heritage center as i've never been there before.

That early (arriving at metro @ 6:40 - 2 hour window), travel time should be good, about 45mins (mapquest says 42 mins). Of course the later you leave it, the longer it will take you to get there. My advice would be to leave between 6:00 and 6:30.

Obviously, if it snows or some retard causes a pileup on the roads you'll be using, add pleanty of extra time. Though... if it snows, the plane will probably will be delayed too, so that may not be as much of a problem.

BTW, cant we get like a caravan going to HC? Some people that know the way lead the pack? I certainly dont want to be lost in downtown Detroit.

From the hotel, we won't get anywhere near downtown. Just go down 75 a little bit, then take an exit and go east and we're there. I Google Earth'd it, and it looks very straightforward, no problem. I just don't know what building 6400 is, but I suppose it will have a sign.

We should, no problem. But we're leaving early, 6ish to beat the rush and we have to return the car off site I believe. Call me at the hotel, we'll be there as of tomorrow afternoon. Reservation is under Coates, we're in the presidential suite
