This sucks, I wanted red with white stripes. But I'd have to pay almost $4k to get them cause I would need to upgrade to the 2SS. I don't think the 2SS package is worth over $3k. I could really care less about bluetooth, mirrors that dim, heated seats, etc. Maybe if the RS package was included in it I would think about it cause I am definitely getting the RS.

Oh yeah, will they look the same as the factory installed stripes I wonder. Maybe I should reserve judgement until after I see them roll off the assembly line. Maybe the stripes won't even look that great the way they do them.

Chevy seems to have made the 1SS the stripper option. I'm not happy that they made us move up to the 2SS to get basic options like leather or stipes from the factory. The 2SS option is almost as much as the SS option was on the 4th Gens

Agreed. To me, this new SS is the 5th gen equivalent of the 4th gen Z28. The 4th gen SS at least gave you a different hood, wheels, spoiler, exhaust. This one looks all but the same on the outside, but with a huge premium for the V8 and ancilliary hardware. I like it, and maybe it's even priced right given inflation, but I just don't see $10k more car than I had w/ my loaded '01 Formula, MSRP $27,xxx.
