Camaro + Snow Redux

Since a major snowstorm just swept across the country, I was wonder if any 2010 owners braved it in their new Camaros.

When we did our road test, the roads were terrible here in Michigan and we did okay.

It wasn't as bad as a full-on snowstorm, but it wasn't all that nice in some places.

I had an RS SS out with a dusting of ice and snow and it was almost undriveable. Once it gets slippery, forget about it.

I think a lot of has to do w/ drive experience. Some people drive just fine in snow & ice no matter what they're driving.

You can't beat physics no matter how good you are.

But was this was summer tires? My wife's 350Z is undriveable in snow with summer tires, and my (former) 99 T/A ws6 was wonderful will all season tires.

I drive my 08 Corvette coupe during the winter months.
But only when there's less than 1 inch of snow on the roads.
My ride is equipped with the standard Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT tires.
I've encountered no problems at all.
The Vettes near 50/50 weight distribution, active handling system and abs has a lot to do with my having no problems.

I believe the 2010 Camaro also has a near 50/50 weight distribution.
You guys and gals driving new Camaros should have no problems in the snow if you use common sense behind the wheel.
I'am over here visiting from www.corvetteforum.com.
I really like the 2010 Camaro and look forward to buying a loaded black/ebony SS model in the near future.

On Summer tires (like the Pirellis that come on an SS), it would be a nightmare.

On a good set of all-seasons, it would be decent. On snow tires, it should be quite good.

there has been snow and ice on the Indiana roads nearly every day since we got our 2010 LS a few weeks ago and I've been fine.

other than nearly being hit by gawkers as they slid past my new car (seriously..and NOT just once!!) everything's been good.
