Camaro sightings at dealers yet?

I was wondering if Chevy dealers have received and Camaros for display yet? I live in Lansing and called Shaheen Chevrolet and they don't have one yet. I am dying to go see one.

I suspect that that is a captured test fleet vehicle . They only started production 1 week ago, and apparently there is something like a ~7 - 10 day minimum hold on all of the cars, to give them time to catch any initial problems with the line / the cars / etc., before they are released. However, there were HUNDREDS of CTF vehicles already built, so for there to be one all the way out in B.C., I'd say it's a CTF, not a production ("for sale") car.

From what I've heard, they didn't ship any Camaros out of Oshawa last week. The held everything just to make sure there weren't any last-minute issues. I'm not sure when exactly they're going to start shipping, nor when Shaheen's display car will be built. You might see one there next week, or you might not see anything until June.

I don't know when Shaheen will be getting theirs, but you'll have to wait at least a couple days. In the mean time, there are at least two captive test fleet vehicles driving around the Okemos area (one red, one black).

REALLY! Man on man I would love to see one.

A salesman at Shaheen said that a few Camaros have passed through but did not stay long.

i think every dealerships demo car should be either yellow or inferno orange. these 2 colors, i think, draw so much attention that people will be flooding dealerships to see the car. granted they would anyways if they knew it was goign to be there. but if you had no idea it was there but you saw a bright yellow or orange, it draws you in.

The retail production cars were scheduled to be released from the lot today...if they actually did ship any or not, I haven't heard either way.

As for the ones for the "open house" in may...supposedly they're gonna be red, yellow, silver, and black.

Yellow. A lot of people don't like orange metallic colors, in large part because a poor example of it was overused on the Grand Prix not too long ago.

It wasn't Inferno Orange on the GP, but Fusion Orange Metallic. It was available on several other GM cars as well. Having not seen them side by side, I think that in anything but direct sunlight, they'd be hard to tell apart.

The majority of people I've heard mention that color did so in order to convey how much they hated it.

I like IOM and would personally be drawn in by it (as well as a Camaro in any other color). However, given its similarity to FOM and my impression of people's opinions of that color, I don't think IOM is a good choice for a dealer display car.

well majority of people arent hard core grand prix lovers.i dont really think the average joe would see the IOM and say" oh man i saw that color on the grand prix and i hated it. i dont want to even go see what that car is." and i was just meaning that brightly colored cars draw more attention, as compared to a black or even white.
