I'm a much bigger fan of NASCAR but if a White SS Camaro with Inferno Orange rally stripes shows up at Indy this year I will freak out! Although they will probably wait until a convertible is available.

boy if that aint the truth.. nothing "stock car" about it anymore. It takes fairly minute changes to make the difference between win and lose, and the track isnt really a development platform for real-world cars anymore either .. at least not with nascar. But I can't wait to see the camaro rolling around the track none-the-less!

Just WOW. How many of you that don't like, or no longer watch NASCAR, have ever been to a race? It's just as much about the experience (and party) as it is the race itself. I've been to just about every type of pro sporting event with the exception of tennis and golf (I'd rather watch paint dry) and NASCAR by far has the best fans IMO. I'm an NFL nut and wouldn't give my season tickets up for anything 10 years running BUT I'd miss a football game before I'd miss my yearly trek to the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte (Daytona just kind of happened out of the blue this year). I've met people from all over the country- and some from outside it- and have many fond memories because of it. Five days a year out of my life I wouldn't trade for much of anything... Just my .02

I was actually going to Daytona this year. Now the Camaro is an added bonus. I have to agree with trm0002, Nothing like being there live. The sound, the smells. It's awesome. Plus you really can't get a grasp of how fast those guys are really going on tv. I haven't been since I was a kid. Looking forward to it. And like I said, seeing the Camaro pace car in person is icing on the cake. And for the record, I ONLY watch the Daytona 500. I don't follow nascar, hardly know any of the drivers, don't care who wins. Heck I don't even have a mullett. But I'm looking forward to this.
