I hope we get to see some REAL pics of the interior and not just some drawings.

because GM does not follow your opinion, they are going in the wrong direction? and they are going to die?.. this thing is a hit, all the family and friends i've shown it to, love it.. and they are not enthusiasts by any sense of the word.. this thing will sell huge, it will save GM from the brink..

I doubt it. This car does not have the ability to do it. It is too low in production and too low impact. Nothing will save GM exept for a string of sucesses and I think it will happen.

On the contrary, I have shown the concept to many people and they all didn't like it except for one, but that doesn't really mean much. I hope the car is a sucess but I think production numbers will be below 100k annually, after the initial rush.

like sneaky neal just posted a lot of people i know have seen this now and they all dislike it. these are the same people who would be the target market for this particular car. this whole retro faze will die down sooner rather then later and it's a shame that all the car manufactures are jumping on the bandwagon. gm should have bucked the trend and not have created a car that looked like a first gen with transformer crap plastered all over it. like another thread in this forum this car would have been much better if it was revolutionary instead of evolutionary. the wow factor is not there for me...it's more of a "hey look, another retro car with no imagination".

You own a 93, I am betting you are a teenager. Your friends are not the target.

Personally I like the car. And I AM the target buyer. I am an early 40's male whose first 2 cars were 1st gen Camaros.

I would like to hear from someone who is in the target audience but does not own or generally lean towards a Camaro or that type of car.

Which is why it will be much more telling to get general public reaction on the auto show circuit. Let's face it, we're all rabid here and we all have a distinct view of what the next Camaro "should" look like.

I keep saying it's important to get people to buy the base car. That is the lifeblood for any Camaro or Mustang...the V6 car must appeal to those who just want something sporty and practical.

Showed it to this one girl, not of the target audience but grew up always wanting a Ford Escort. Her reaction: "If you own that car, it better have a backseat if you know what I mean." I'm sold.

Well I'm 20, only car I've ever owned was a '99 Mistubishi Galant, I've never been in any generation of Camaro and I would buy this car in a heart beat.Way to go GM for making an awesome concept , now make it an awesome car and you'll be set.

I think he meant that the car will save GM by way of improved public brand image, rather than outright sales of the actual Camaro.

I'd argue it wouldn't do that either, at least not a whole lot, inside or outside the performance groups. Chevy already has the Corvette which is a higly recognized and desireable sportcar to the masses.

The Impala, Malibu and Cobalt are really Chevy's saviors.

Halo cars or high end limited production cars can work to improve a company's image and help sales of the lower end cars, it's been proven to work with companies like Nissan and Mazda.
