Granted, although the thinker A-pillars are a safety requirement and can't be avoided. The first gen windshield is fairly short though. The wiper length is only 11 inches on the driver side and ~10.5 on the passenger side. (Yes, they actually were different lengths. Most use two 11-inch blades, and end up wearing out the top chrome trim piece because the wiper hits it.)

I came across these pics on pro-touring.com by the user rogue. Im almost positive the 69 is dropped some.

Great pics.

The 69 looks waaay longer than the current 5G.

It's amazing how similar the 5G is to the '69. Those pics seem to show the similarity more than others.

I don't think that's an either/or. As to the first question, yes, the G8 beltline is lower. A key to that is seen by comparing the base of the windshield to the base of the door glass. On most high-beltline cars, there at the same height. On cars like the G8, the door glass is a little lower.

Remember also complaints about the low seating position in F4. I understood that the 5th gen Camaro has a higher seating position than the 4th.
