I heard that wasn't going to be available right away.

Also, I wonder if it'll be possible to get a limited-slip differential in a V6 car.

Great job Jason.

I was amped up to order the Inferno Orange 2SS strictly because I was wanting something more for a standout interior. Now I find out I can get that upgraded interior in ANY color.

So...Black??? hehehehe..

Can't wait to see some cars get ordered 'round here....

Again, thanks Jason,
Ivan

Cool Z28 update...not dead...

From consumerguideauto:

http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...let-camaro.htm

In addition, the latest buzz says an ultra-performance Z28 version might appear for 2011. It would use a version of the supercharged 6.2-liter "LSA" V8 from the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V with horsepower in the 480-500 range.

Given that the CTS-V makes 556hp, I'd be pretty shocked if the Camaro's version of the motor made less than 500. I'm thinking more like 530-540.

In fact, your "latest buzz" is a few months old. We all have our hopes up that GM will come through this economic disaster intact, and that this supercharged Z28 will indeed be sold, but the real "latest buzz" is that it's probably going to be pushed later than 2011 while GM focuses on restructuring.

I spoke to the creator of the new camaro at the lsx shootout. I can't remember his name but he was signing pics of the new car. I asked about the reason for bringing the ss out first instead of the z28. He said the were holding back on the z28 to make it the big gun like how the vette has the zo6 and zr1. Then I asked about the ls7 being offered in it. He didn't give any straight answer to me but did say that we would see some in a few camaros at some car shows. So maybe next year we might have a little bad *** z28 running down these vipers!

They have the manual SS rated at 422hp @ 5000rpms yet it doesn't redline until 6600. So will it actually be more then 422hp?

Higher RPM doesn't mean higher horsepower. 5000 rpms is where the horsepower peaks and at higher RPMs the power will begin to decrease.
