radio apps

can i ask the 5th generation community something , just a minor question , from what i have read and heard it is a good thing to have our radio's software updated . I have a 14 2LT RS , and i have the apps pandora and stitcher on my phone and on my radio ,now i was having issues playing the apps on my radio through my phone , and i upgraded the radio , now the chevy dealer is telling me i have to play these 2 apps through bluetooth in order for them to work , why in the world does the radio have these 2 apps and you are unable to play them through the radio ?? you have to play them through bluetooth and inorder to control them , you have to work them through the phone because on the radio the bluetooth has no control ???? am I doing something wrong ?? thanks rant ended

I am not really sure about this myself, but if I am not mistaken Bluetooth does play a role here. Phone and radio are connected through Bluetooth. What if you ask the dealer to show it to you?
