Exactly, if the car was PDI and make ready prepped, they could have sprayed in carpet fabric sealant on the flooring. That smell will last a good 6 months and really fog up the interior windows.

Re: The Camaro Stank!
I'm just new here, but this thread sure caught my attention. I bought a new Camaro (ordered Feb 21 of this year and delivered to my dealer approx May 25) and one of the first things I noticed was an odd odor when I opened the door. That hasn't changed in the little over 5 months I've owned the car. I asked the dealer to let me "unwrap" the car which they did. No hint of that wonderful leather smell. The amount of actual leather is rather small. As they say in the brochures "leather appointed" meaning not much leather. I'm not really complaining. I'm just agreeing with Kevin L. I bought a Mustang GT in '08 and still have it and when I open its doors I still get the leather smell. I also street rodded a '67 C-10 and had the interior done with leather. Five years later when I open the door I get that wonderful leather smell. So, Kevin, you are NOT the only one who has noticed this.

I was just thinking...I can suggest you get ahold of some Zaino "Leather in a Bottle"

It helps to have some Zaino leather cleaner as well.

I use both and only both on all of my leather seats, wallet, jackets, gloves, etc. It works great and the Leather in a Bottle smells exactly like the name implies.
