New Tire on Same Wheel Loses Pressure.

Just purchased two new tires recently after my LR kept going flat. I am now experiencing that same problem on the same wheel with a new tire. The wheel itself looks like its in fine shape. I don't see any curb rash on it or bends. What are the chances I purchased another tire with a leak in it? What should I be looking for?

Odds are slim the tire is bad. Odds are good the wheel is bad.

Just the slightest variance in the wheel can make it leak, including corrosion around the bead area, it being slightly out of round, etc.

How fast does it lose air?

Takes 2-3 days. Guess I will buy a new wheel.

Stock wheel? Take it back to the dealership, it should still be under warranty unless you put a lot of miles on it since 2010.

I don't know if it was corrosion, but it looks like the chrome had built up in some areas where it meets the tire. Never seen anything like that before. Is it common?

Tire Pressure sensor could be an issue. My brother had this on his Jeep. Brand new tires losing air.

I don't think 95's had tire pressure sensors.

In that case, I don't think you meant to post your thread in the 2010 - 2011 - 2012 Camaro Wheels, Tires, Brakes, Suspension forum.
