Trans Reliability

Trans Reliability
Hi Guys,
I just picked up a new SS last week. I was hesitant, but decided to go with the 6L80 over the M6. (so far very fun and great mpg) However, I've had nightmares in the past with Chevy automatics. Particularly the 4L60-E's that I managed to replace 3 times in my 98Z.
My question is, how reliable are these 6 speed autos and how much power (realistically) can they handle?
Also, does anyone offer a plug-n-play shift kit that would make it a little more responsive and won't affect warranty?
Thanks everyone..

Re: Trans Reliability
As I always say, the 600hp going into my transmission hasn't hurt it yet. I haven't really put it through any really heavy abuse, but so far so good in playing around when no one is looking.
I would suggest a custom tune by someone who knows the trans cal well. Try Vector Motorsports and tell them I sent you.
