New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

I recently purchased a 2010 LT1 Camaro, I'm a newbie when it comes to Chevy's, so any help would be so greatly appreciated. This car is too quiet for my liking so what type of aftermarket exhaust would you recommend? Also anyone have throttle lagging/hesitation issues with their car? It only has 34k miles on it, I was thinking it was a clogged fuel injection problem but I just really don't know where to start with these newer cars that have everything computerized.....any suggestions? Thank you in advance!!

Re: New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com !

I think you mean "LT" indicating the 3.6L V6 engine. The "LT1" was a Gen 2 SBC used 93-97. The Gen 7 Corvette will use a new "LT1" engine, but that was never used in the Camaro.

I'll copy this to the 5th Gen tech section for you.

Cool Re: New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

I just installed high flow JBL cats and Stainless Steel works 3" cats back exhaust on my 2011 SS/RS and think it has gained many ponies and a great deep sound. I would suggest this type of exhuast to everone. Its awesome!

It is all a matter of preference. I myself got the Corsa catback and love the sound I get from that. Not to mention it doesn't have the drone, which is that low tone you get while cruising on the highway.

Re: New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

I ordered the Borla S-Type axleback and it will be in Friday. I previously had a Corsa with the Corsa X pipe on my Mustang and loved it. This go around, I just did the axleback for a little more sound but more importantly to get rid of those huge eye sores!

Re: New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

If you haven’t bought an exhaust yet i would go for Granatelli i know they don’t have a huge name in the exhaust like Borla or Magnaflow but the sound of the exhaust sound just as good as the top brands but the prices better then top brand i have them on my car and i could not be happier with what i got

Re: New member looking for exhaust suggestions???

It has been a few weeks since I installed the Borla S-Type axleback. The sound is absolutely awesome. The downside is there is a large drone present now. For those that stated axlebacks don't cause a drone, you are full of it!!!
