5th Gen, 1/4 and 1/8 ball park times for close to stock?
I have been out for awhile and dont see many people bragging about quick times like the LS1 crowd talked about years ago when i was here. Are these new Fbodies sending these new imports running with their tail between their legs like the LS1s did in the late 90s early 00s. Or has GM dropped the ball?

It seems this generation has a different crowd...more of the show and accessories enthusiasts than the 4th gen did.
I know there are lots of people at the track with theirs, but I think most of the more hardcore racers are sticking with their 4th gens.
I am really not sure why, maybe since the car was so refined since the 4th gen it just drew a different kind of enthusiast.

I think the reason there is not a heavy crowd for the 5th gen yet is, warranty's are still valid, parts are expensive IMO. Seems like I read the v8 ran like 12.9 or something, and the V6 ran 14.3 or so.
I can be wrong though.
