We were in the tent watching everyone scramble to put their windows and tops up...

The GF and I were just about to start heading out...and then the rain started to come down. Problem was that we parked the car by the Hall of Fame...
We were hoping to hitch a ride in a Traverse or something.

So Charlie what did you think of the 5th Gen after seing and hopefully sitting in the near-production car?

After listening to the Camaro team's presentations this weekend, I really do feel like they tried to make the best with what they were given. But in the end, this car has bulk, and I mean lots of it. You notice it especially from the firewall forward - they way it swallows up those 20's like they were 15 inchers. I appreciate the effort that went into this car, but man-oh-man, what a homerun it could have been on a more appropriate architecture.

I have yet to see a production car in person. Hopefully at the LA show in November. My father saw the red RS in Detroit and used the words solid and substantial when describing it.
I too think the Camaro team did what they could with what they had. At some point probably knew the car wasn't going to be light as the 4th Gens or current Mustang and decided to make it as solid and well built as they could.
