This is rumored to be the Z28 body.

I'd love to see that engine in production, especially if it gets 29mpg hwy and does low/mid 12's

I wonder if this motor will end up being the Z28 motor or just an alternative to the V8's? I would take a turbo'd 426hp 6 over a NA 426hp V8 just for the torque advantage and easy modding. The MPG gain would only be maybe 1mpg better, possibly 2 but doubtful.

I saw pics of this car when it debuted, but I missed the slightly flared rear fenders (covering some massive rear rubber). There are also actual open ducts in front of the rear wheels, instead of the goofy indentations on the current production car.

Those do seem appropriate for Z/28 details. Wider rear tires, perhaps ducting for brake cooling (like the Z06). Hood vents wouldn't surprise me either. I'm not sure I am digging the lower front fascia, but overall it is still badass. Needs different wheels though. Those rather yell aftermarket to me.

I'd LOVE this engine to make it to production. And I'd LOVE to see the Z/28 too (with the LSA).

I thought EcoBoosted vehicles already got close to their NA equivalents in terms of mileage ... or is there expected to be a larger penalty in the Mustang?

Mainly because of the final drive ratio being changed and the NA equivalents not being DI where the Ecoboost engines are DI

If they can get 425hp reliably with that kind of fuel economy we need to see this in a sport variant of the Buick LaCrosse as well as the CTS, stat.

No doubt that they can get 425hp from the TTV6 but can they still get 29 mpg with at that power level?

Either way it's an interesting engine option and one that I think would be a great compliment to the Camaro.

Not to mention if GM wanted to share some costs and really add some excitement to the Caddy line a TTV6 would gain a lot of respect for the CTS and new ATS.

stay out of the gas and the engine doesnt know the turbos are there.

my buddy's 400 rwhp 240 knocks down 30 mpg combined city/hwy. when he steps on the gas though...

Although I would love to see the 3.6L TT V6, I would be surprised to see fuel economy gains (over a V8) if the car is driven with any vigor. The official fuel economy numbers will always favor the turbos... but I would think it would be the other way around at WOT.
