Yup, the gauge cluster from the dealer deal is pretty neat.
Related....question...on the M6 car, is one of the gauges still the tranny temp gauge? That one makes perfect sense and is very useable with an automatic, but a bit useless with the manual.

Yes it is. And something I noticed on the M6's is they have a trans fluid pump built in either the belhouseing or front of trans (I can't remember), so it runs the fluid through a cooler in the front.

couple of big misses though that I did not know till I got #6046 home....
a/No hood dome light for night time....checking oil or looking under hood on a dark night...
b/no trunk pull down area to put your hand and pull down. this is super annoying. trunk is stiff and you have to touch the spoiler or trunk lid every time to pull down the trunk.
But...whose complaining...I have a new 2SS in the garage !!

you'll need to unlock the door manually, crawl in the back seat, flip down the seat back, reach into the trunk, and pull the emergency trunk release ripcord. You know, the glow-in-the-dark thing your kid gets to use when he misbehaves and you gotta stuff him in the trunk.

There is a transmission cooler -- fitted as standard to all Automatic vehicles -- both V6 & V8 (....it is a part of the radiator assembly...).
The V6 Manual has no transmission cooler....
The V8 Manual has a transmission cooler included in the radiator -- and thus is fully track capable for a full tank of fuel.

I noticed that if you grab the trunk just above the tail lamp... not the spoiler... but right there where the trunk panel starts just above the tail lamp... you leave no marks...
not i gotta figure out how to close the trunk without leaving marks....

There were a handful of things I didn't know in that article. Neat.
Specifically, those were:
1. extra door striker
2. single hood strut
3. windshield-mounted remote receiver for extended range (does it only work for the remote start, or does it also work for lock/unlock?)
4. no manual exterior trunk lock
5. GMPD badge under the hood
Pressure is not the only way to create heat.
