Did anyone else notice the reverse lights are in the middle of the bumper? I am not sure I like that. I guess I will have to see if it grows on me.

I think I like it better than the concept.....

The height increase changed the proportions to make it look slightly less low to the ground and a bit more "stocky" which I like. It looks classy and mean.

Interior is fine as interiors go, though I wish they completely dropped the retro-ness of the gauge cluster and gave it a regular car interior instead of a stylized one.

It looks better with regular turn signals and such. And the mirrors look great. The single biggest "crap" of the C6 corvettes is the silly flaccid-***** looking mirrors, they don't match the rest of the car at all.

One of the reasons that the Mustang GT handles as well as it does on 235s is that the tires are tall. Car manufacturers are figuring out that you can increase the contact patch of the tire in more ways than just making it wider. A larger diameter tire has more contact patch. Horizontally the patch is the same width but because of the increased diameter, the vertical contact is more. This is because the tire is less curved.

I rather like the look, as it garuntees a nice small tire-gap between the bodywork. And any increase in width will have even MORE impact.

Remember with tires bigger is not always better.

The car will be tuned to run what is on it and it will take good advantage of the tire supplied.

I learned form tire engineers I used to work with there is a lot of give and take with tires and just going bigger is not always the answer in all cases.

What are you talking about? I can't see anything that is definitively a reverse light.

Yes, I know, but all things being equal, increasing tire width increases traction in dry conditions.

Using an increase in height instead of width nets a similar increase in contact patch and can be used to overcome packaging issues (for example, if the platform is only so wide and cannot support additional room for super wide tires. You can also get more interior room by designing the vehicle to use less car width for tires)

I dont know what he's talking about, but the reverse lights look to be part of the black plastic diffuser, the same as they are on the vette. I THINK I can just barely see the left one.

WOW The Camaro actually came out good, but the concept looked like a sports car, this looks like a sporty-car. It lost some of its hips and the car doesnt sit quite the same due to the wheel wells being much smaller, but it definately looks MUCH better without the camo.
Its looks chunky/chubby in the same way the 05+ Mustangs look chunky/chubby. I guess that shouldnt have come as a surprise, the new accord and camrys looked sleeker in their concept form, but when they came out, they too looked fatter, probably due to crash standards.
