I've finally seen a few new Camaros....

Not that this is big news to anyone here but until very, very recently; hadn't seen any on the road at all.

That's finally changed!

I had to take a 4,300 mile road trip down Route 66 a couple of weeks ago before I saw my fist, one in Albuquerque and then one near Amarillo but I was a couple thousand miles away from my home before those sightings happened! Finally, last night, I saw my first one on my home roads.

I've seen a couple at cruise-ins along with quite a few challengers but hadn't actually seen any out and about.

I will say, both the Camaro and especially the Challenger are truly "large" but I'll also say that while I'm not in love with either the new Camaro or the new Challenger they are growing on me.

I still haven't seen one on the road! I finally saw a yellow one sitting at the dealership earlier this month... but that's about it.

I suppose any new vehicle just takes a while to permeate the market; I haven't seen any Camaros at our local dealers although our local Dodge dealer has a challenger on the lot that I've been wanting to stop and take a look at.

I also haven't seen very many 370Zs or Challengers on the road yet either other than some cruise-ins.

I think it also has a lot to do with my area. A lot of folks in W. Michigan right now are just trying to hold on to their jobs and houses and really aren't in the market for a brand new Camaro

Additional sighting

I saw at least two on the street (one black and one red) in Somerset, Kentucky at the 2009 Somernites PowerCruise although my impression was that they were local.

Both wanted to race me stop-light to stop-light which really wasn't a very bright thing to want to do considering the high dollar value classic cars on the street for the event and a significant LEO presence!
