Well, I don't want to imply that I PROMISED that our next Member Summit will be there. If I said WE WILL then I retract that statement. I might have said to Chris that we SHOULD or COULD do it there. As of right now, we WANT to do it there.

Sorry, that last part was all in fun. Didn't want to upset any members if something comes up and it doesn't work out.

Seriously, yes, we want to have it there during that event and that is what we will try to accomplish.

Does anyone know if an "event" hotel has been chosen yet?

We're hoping to have that all ironed out and final details made by the end of this month, first of next month.

I'm curious about two things:

1. Provisions for those who have sold their fbody. My '99 TA is gone and as a HUGE Indy 500 fan I'd love to go to this. Will I get stoned and ripped to shreds if my wife and I drove her 350z down? I suppose I could bring the G5 as an alternate......but it's not even a GT

2. When "lap around the track" is mentioned, does that mean driving your car around the track? What about driving a production Camaro around the track? Obviously I can't drive my TA around the track anymore But I'd love to drive around Indy once and doing it in the G5 would be kinda sad.....the z would be cool (unless I'm burned at the stake first)....so.........

There are plenty of good quality hotels in the area, I've stayed in the area before for training class at work. I think it was around the Rockville Rd. Exit off of I-465 which is pretty close to the Speedway.

The committee hasn't fully negotiated all the details, but this hotel is being looked at as the host hotel, in addition to the Brickyard Golf Resort & Inn. Just FYI...

Damn thats only about 5-10 minutes away from where I currently live, I'd be willing to stay there just because its so much nicer than the apt. I'm in now and I've always wanted to go down those waterslides that go outside of the building

Umm....Why is this hotel being considered, its pretty far from the speedway, there are many hotels closer.

Remember Scott likes Marriott Courtyards.

Yea, we realize that, but they have many amenities and have catered to other automotive events like the NFME event....and it's in a good neighborhood.

They're getting real close to getting the web page up so stay tuned!

Gotta ramp up the Z-build if I wanna be ready for this show. Me & the old man in the '02 SS will be there, a lap around Indy? I wouldn't miss that for anything.

Yes this hotel is in a much nicer area than anywhere near Speedway.

We should have it pretty soon. We have our monthly meeting on Feb. 4th to iron out some issues and should roll out the website shortly thereafter.

Thanks.
