First off, I can understand the hockey stripes only being dealer installed options since ther are not offered at all from the factory... however....


I do not understand the point of offering the rally stripes in Cyber Gray and White from the factory, but not the Black, Orange, or Silver rally stripes.

What's the big expense of simply having those stripes on hand to apply at the factory and save the hassle/worry of the dealer screwing up the install of what can easily be done from the factory?

I've wondered the same, but at least if you get it done at the dealer, if you don't like it, you can have them do it over.

I agree, I could not imagine spending 35K and seeing that the dealer screwed up the stripes! I would be so disappointed. I would almost rather apply them myself. I did it on my 79 Z recently and I made sure it was perfect.

I just got home from placing my order, and we had a somewhat lengthy discussion about this. Unfortunately, it was all very ambiguous; I am not sure at this point if the VZG (black) stripes I ordered are in fact rally stripes.

I'd guess that they are since they are not the stripes that specify "hockey" type
