I think a lot of us have already seen this a while ago, but now it can be yours if you bid high enough!

Well...it looks close, anyway.

I know I have no place for it on my shelf, but I couldn't replicate it easily, either. I am interested to see how high it goes.

im sorry but that thing has no resemblence of a camaro. just because its yellow with racing stripes? the wheels arent even anything ive seen on any of the camaros. it just looks like a waste of money.

now if that were the frame that someone built and then you have to put on body panels it would be cool, but not so much here.

Eh, I give the guy credit for trying, but it's not close enough to make me want to jump on it. Besides, since there are no instructions, what happens if it breaks apart during shipping or at any point in the future? You either better have some great memory or you're left with an unusually expensive pile of Technics pieces.

Talking

I was actually Googling this model to find the site where the builder had his models at and stumbled into this thread, so I decided to join up to add my 2 cents.

There was a Lionel Train/Toy show here in Johnstown, Pa last Sunday and this car was on display along with about 4 other cars including an awesome 60's Mustang and a few actual Technic Ferrari sets from Lego.

Let me tell you what, you have got to see this thing in person to appreciate the work invovled. I cannot believe how intricate this thing is. The guy who built the model was on hand. He looked like he was about 20 years old, but turned out he was in his 30's. He gave a display on how all of the features worked including the amazing 6 speed transmission that really does shift the gears from 1st through 6th and when in Reverse, everything goes into reverse.

I do admit, it doesn't EXACTLY look like the real Camaro, but it is damn close and for being made out of Legos, it is VERY impressive especially from a functual aspect.

The builder(I think his name was Paul) was very informative and spent the entire day talking with kids(And many adults as well, including myself and my 2 boys) and was a very polite and just genuine nice guy. And I'll give him this, he really got my 2 sons excited to start building as well as many other children(And some adults).

His models were the main attraction of the whole show and I think some of the dealers were getting upset over the fact that so many people were crowded to his table.

I hope he does well selling this even though I think he is crazy for wanting to part with it, but he said that he sold 2 last year at this time for Over $850.00

I guess we'll see what happens. By the way Great site! I had a 94Z28, but I had to part with it a few years back to make room for my 2004 Vette.

it looks more like a frame from a NASCAR than the camaro.

There's a reason why it's "one of a kind".

All I know is that it looks close enough to say there are very few if any that look closer, at least that I have seen. I know I couldn't do it even if I had all the pieces to work with.

I knew I recognized this guy from somewhere when I met him last week. And low and behold here it is(Found this link from Camaro5.com):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIBH7QPyqYo

This was on our news here all week, this guy was lucky that he wasn't killed. What are the chances that this would happen to your car the very first day that you take it out after the winter?

That is the builder of the Lego Camaro. And what a strange way to meet him.
