Motorweek just posted a test drive video of the SLP ZL 585 Camaro and it said they recorded a 0-60 time of 3.6 sec and quarter mile time of 11.5 and 122 mph @ the track.

This is looking more and more like a prelude to the Z/28 in my opinion.

man thats a good looking car. sometimes i wish i would have waited to get my car and ordered one through a company like slp, lingenfelter or hennessey. they have way more options than GM does.

It's unfortunate that these cars are so heavy. 585HP/550TQ in a 3rd or 4th Gen would be a 10 second car. I guess the 5ths are gonna regularly need about 650HP to accomplish that.

Those numbers from motor week are right in line with a stock C6 Z06, and better than some of them(depending on conditions of course)
