I think you mean LS7. LS7 is rather expensive, more so then the LSA, and I belive more then the LS9 since its engine block is unique.

There is nothing wrong with the strategy. The car is going to sell whether a Z28 exists at start of production or not. Wait a couple years when things die down, then peak interest again with the top car. Besides, as Charlie said, a re-focus of Z28 is welcomed.

To blackflag, how much are you willing to spend on a z28 today since you can't wait 2 years? It most certainly won't come cheap. If you're aren't willing to spend north of 40g's then don't bother waiting. Judging by the GT500, SRT8 Challenger, etc... that seems to be the entry price. And the z28 might even carry a premium over both models depending on how GM specs it out. Either way, be prepared to spend corvette like $$$.

As I've stated many times before on this matter, I agree completely.
I have enormous interest in a "Z06" Camaro and exactly zero interest in a "ZR1" Camaro. Price isn't the issue. I could afford either one.
Heck, I might even be able to find some way to live with that train wreck of an interior if they got rid of enough weight and forgot any thought of a supercharger.
Unlikely? Perhaps, but that's where I stand with the car. Love the styling and power but that's simply not enough this time around.
