Disappointed.

I have to say...now that the word is that there won't be a top dog, I'm pretty disappointed. I was looking to buy an LS7, or an LSA or similar...

This is pretty f'n lame.

That is all.

Don't be disappointed just yet. The only thing we have heard is that there will not be a Z28 at the beginning of production. Certain members of the board have hinted that how can a program be dead if it's never actually been talked about.
What is the opposite of dead....

I hear you, but Ford could afford to wait, because they were the first to the party... Today there are plenty of choices...GT500, Z06, Challenger SRT (kind of), and the Nissan GTR...

It's stupid to wait when the market is here now. And as time goes by, and gas prices go up, I feel the chances are less.

And time's a wastin'...I don't have another two years to wait. I already waited this long.

I agree with you. I want a convertible SS but it looks like I'm going to have to wait 2 summers for it.

I think it's an absolute slap in the face not to say that this car was created taking cues from the 60's cars and then saying you wanted to bring back the " Bad ***" feeling of that generation, then you leave out the most popular model in the history of camaro in the z/28. Good job GM!!!

I dont understand. Haven't we been speculating that a Z28 would appear a year or two into production of the 5th gen all along?

I wouldn't get too far into things like removing sound deadening materials or premium stereos unless necessary. I think the point would be to give the big dollar buyers the best all-around performing car without removing stuff they'd easily notice.

So I figure if Fbodfather says something like that in terms of Camaro model lines, I'd think it's something that's going to happen. The real question is "When?".

I for one, am glad that the Z/28 may be refocused. If I'm not interested in a 39xx lbs SS, I'm definitely not interested in a 41xx lbs Z/28.

I'm hoping that someone had a "come to Jesus" meeting on this.....
