CLEAN is back in the house! Some thoughts from NAIAS inside...

MAN oh Man! What a ride!! Imagine a day like this....dawn breaks over the infamous DELPHI headquarters building out your window, you talk to Ed Hamburger at breakfast about possible SLP involvement w/ the new car, you get in a "You better build it Rick!" shot in at Rick Waggoner as you pass him, Bob Lutz returns a head bob at you You get to hang with the boyz on the FRONT FRIGGIN ROW of the cars debut area ( NOBODY was closer than we were when it rolled out).....sound good so far?

Wow, it all happened, and a bunch of other stuff I've probabably already forgotten. First of all, I'll second all the guys that say you MUST see this car in person! It's gorgeous in pictures, but it's just insanely beautiful in person! The pix just do not do justice to the proportions, and the depth of the design...at all (and it photographs well!! That's how nice this thing is!). See it! The event was great, the Heritage Center thing was great, and very special, certainly a life long memory there. Meeting JasonD (who was visibly vibrating moments before the unveil ) Chris Frez, Formula79, Z284EVER, Chris96WS6, JasonE (my hotel neighbor), GuionM, 1FastDog, 96CamaroB4C, and certainly others that escape me at the moment...what a blast.

It was truly special, the local media went ape sh*t over the thing, led the evening news with it (and predictably misspelled it Camero), Challenger got NO press that I could see, nada (although it certainly has been in the news for several weeks, and that could explain it). The Shelby was there, but nobody cared.

Anyway, back home now, enjoyed meeting everyone, and hope everyone can manage to see the thing at an autoshow near you!

I'll echo CLEAN's comments. It was a great event (or both events, rather, as the heritage center gathering the night before was also very memorable).

CLEAN, it was great to meet you in person man (as well as everyone else). The guys I spent the most time with were probably JasonE and z284ever, as well as guionM, but I certainly enjoyed meeting everyone. It was indeed strange putting faces with the names from the board. On some of them, my mental picture of them from the site was not even close. Good stuff!

I need to send Scott a thank you email, but I'll say it here too. Scott, it was great to meet you in person, and thanks to you (and the rest of the Chevy/GM staff) for organizing this awesome event for us enthusiasts. Something I truly will never forget.

The only thing cooler than the above mentioned, would be if PacerX had bitch slapped Csaba Csere when he had the chance.

Deffinatly a great time meeting everyone from the site. Great to sit and talk with you guys, and a few drinks.
Glad you guys made it home safe, I know I had fun.

It was great meeting some folks from the forum. Wish I could have met everyone there, but time was constrained.
