I think you are correct with thinking GM leaked this photo. Most likely in an effort to respond to the Challenger.

Wow is that site ever loading slow for me. I wonder if it's server overload or if there's a fleet of black Suburbans drawn up somewhere.

I'm guessing the subcontractor responsible for applying the camoflage body wrap snapped the photo with a camera phone just prior to applying the stickers. Someone is going to lose their job over this... just wait.

BTW... I'm sorry but I can live with the door handles and mirrors. Just build the darn thing already.

The convertible won't have a b-pillar.

kinda reminds me back in 03/04 when someone snapped the 05 Mustang, in white... in a shop somewhere ( Think it was the company designing the washer fluid resevoir, which if I remember correctly was suppose to be heated)

Only that guy snapped the front/rear without bra and eventually got canned.

Could be a controlled leak, but who knows.... we'll find out soon enough.

Messing around with brightness and contrast levels, you can clearly see the door crease is still there:

If you don't think rocks would be an issue see anyone with w Cobra, Street Rod, Viper, HHR or SSR. All suffer stone chips. In fact the HHR really needs the running boards to protect the paint.

Too often what looks good on a show car just will not work on a real car.

Note the windshield is higher than the side windows. It goes up into the roof area much higher than the concept. The side window are taller but not as much or not as much as the windshield.

GM has done a lot to retain the original looks but not compromise real world issues.

If you want to see where they did not change enough try to adjust the seats in a SSR as you have to open the door to reach the seat buttons. Not a fun thing when it is raining.

No complaints as this picture is too low quality.
