Black Camaro LS CTF car pics

My buddy JIm just got back from Orlando from winter vacation. He ran into a GM employee who was there with a black base car.

Wow...that is one shiny clear coated paint job! It seems as if the reverse mowhawk roof hardly shows in the black color though. The black steel rims actually look good with the black exterior.

Oh those wheels are hideous! They keep looking worse and worse each time I see them. I can not believe that they did not choose to put some kind of an alloy on the base car!

Wow, you don't like those wheels? I don't think they look "badass" or anything, but they certainly look a hell of a lot better than some of the GM "base model" wheels I've seen in the past.

As a caveat.....

I'd just like to say how badass even the base model camaro's look. They really did a great job with this car. I hope it breathes some life back into General Motors.

Anybody else notice the VIN, last six being 000004. Really early preproduction even.

The best thing about the VIN is the 4th position

I agree, those wheels are almost as ugly as the 4th gen firebird base wheels, but I'm starting to dig the spoilerless look.

Looks good. In comparison to the base model Mustang it fits right in.

the grunt work to push that through was done by Cheryl. I actually saw the email chain that went back and forth between 3 or 4 departments. the crazy part was it took nearly TWO YEARS before final approval was given. Cheryl never gave up.
