my and the little lady were talking about it. $30,000+ is not out of the question of what i'm willing to spend. i'm 26, have money in the bank, don't struggle with bills, and have good credit.
i'm looking at the better part of $20,000 as a down payment.

Base at 19k should be solid with 250hp...nothing less than 250 GM please. It will have enough kick for those who opt it over the 210hp Mustang and other import cars.

I'm just saying we (as a group on this board) bought them then, we can buy them now. And we'll take good care of them for the folks that enjoy them a few years down the road at a sizable discount on the used car market.

I'd be willing to spend like $35,000 Max on a new SS Drop Top... If it's any more I think people would definately get turned off and go other routes..bmw, porsche.. etc.
In 1998 My v6 Camaro Convertible was about $22,900 so i know convertibles are more but 19 grand isnt bad for a bone stock base american icon.

Tell ya what Bob, I'll take two please if it helps you turn a profit; mac and cheese never tasted so good! A bare bones V6 year round driver (Midwest snow - bring it on; did for 3 years before without snow tires & I can do it again) and a Z/28.

He sees it as a high-volume car with sales of 120,000 to 150,000 a year. Mustang output is at around 190,000 units.

Werm's just upset because he gave up hope on the new Camaro.

I will hopefully be able to afford it in the next few years.
$19,000 sounds pretty cheep for a base car, most would probably have some options bringing it to $22-23,000 area.
The camaro V6 was WAY more equiped then the mustang, I didnt even consider the mustang at the time, it was just too base. Hopefully it stays that way.
I think the 3.9L would be fun, especially with a Manual trans and some options.
I checked out some 05 Mustang GT's most were $26-30k
I'd probably buy a Coupe V8 with a stick shift, thats about all I can so for now. Hopefully it would be under $30,000

How many GM CARS (not trucks, not platforms) are currently selling 120k+ a year?

If $19 500 is the base price for a camaro? Then GM is going to be fine selling that car. Alot of ppl who bought mustangs wanted a camaro but there was none to buy. When the new camaro comes out your going to see alot of Mudstangs on GM's used car lots cause they traded in thier POS for a real car.
