Anyone not ordering?
I'm planning on getting a 2010 Camaro, but i'm not ordering. I want to sit in one, take one for a ride, before I buy. Anyone like me and not ordering?
Ive been tempted, but I can't order without seeing one in person. If I ordered one it would be:
2SS
Victory Red
Black Leather
Automatic
I've seen a picture of a Red SS and it just doesnt look right. Right now im leaning towards 2LT RS Victory Red, Black Leather, Automatic. But i wont know until i can see a SS in person. I just think the non-functional air induction hole looks weird on the Red. I'm really hoping for a Z28, the V6 styling, with a V8 under the hood. Ive been hoping for that all along. When they announced the V6 & the SS i was a little disappointed.

2SS 6speed will come along sooner or later. If there was a hint of a special editon (read Z28) I would wait for it. This will no doubt be my last camaro as CAFE regs and bs will surely ruin the future for massive HP.

I'm not ordering. The sales process has to be enjoyable for me. Buying a new car is still a "big day." It involves walking the lot, arriving at the car I came prepared to buy, and having things go smoothly from there. I don't want to have a bad feeling or bitterness after signing my name to an expensive asset.

I'm not buying one till they update the interior. I was hoping for a dual cockpit design that is in most new GM vehicles. Instead they went with a flat, uninspired passenger side dash with a radio that doesn't have NAV capablility and a center console that doesn't flow up into the dash. I saw a picture where a fighter jet was used for design inspiration - but it looks like that was for the exterior only. I guess I'll be getting a Vette instead.
The area in red is what I'm talking about:

I ordered a 2006 Mustang Gt back in 2005.
I was the first on the dealers allocation list...
Would yeaaaaa know it when they started coming out in early
Sept of 2005 the dealer got a few stang Gts in but mine was still in Limbo on the Fords 800#
I would never order a car again from anyone.......
I will wait also and go to a few dealers and find the Camaro SS that I want.
Thats if I like it,,,,I don't know why someone would order one if they never sat in one????
I am 6ft3 and who knows maybe I might be a tad too tall for the car????
Cash is not a problem
But I would like to see a few colors first(Black and manual trans}
Was going to buya GTO New.
when I got to the dealer I could not tell the differance between a Grandam,Grand prix and GTO.
So its best to see the car before I order anything

I'll most likely get a 2010 2SS but I have yet to see a production Camaro in person. I want to see some of these colors, stripes and interior choices for myself. Besides I may be interested in the HUD and that won't be available for a while. The first cars won't find homes for another 5-6 months so we have some time to make our decisions. Besides deals will get better in time and I don't need to be the first guy on the block to have a new Camaro.

Original plan was to buy as soon as they came out, but a hail storm kind of took care of that, totalled my wife's van and her new one will set us back until May of 09. I want to drive the v6 and v8 cars before getting the car.

I've gotta wait till the next round, so spring of 2010 I plan to order mine or pick one up on a lot if they have my combo. I really want a Blue SS and since the day's of the first sketches of what a 2003, 2004... etc Camaro would look like I've only wanted one in Blue and I have no ambitions to buy a V6.
So I will wait till it is available.
