Just to be clear, the wheels on the 45th are not the same as the wheels on the ZL1 "concept". Different design (and different size, of course - ZL1's are wider).

Makes perfect sense to me.

A man once said, "Good things come to those who wait.' After seeing this Camaro, I am finally able to say that I am happy that I have not been able to afford a 5th-gen, yet. For this one, I'll take out a loan!

...and yeah, I want one of these 6-cylinders -- with a manual transmission.

I'm curious, what model are you reffering to mudbone?

1LS, 1LT, 2LT* v6?
1SS, 2SS* v8?

*only 45th Anniversary?
*only Convertible?

I'm curious -- what were they? I'm assuming they weren't stock -- I can only think of one stock V6 car ever that could beat a Firehawk: the Nissan GT-R. Some that could come close (GNX, 3000GT VR4), and some that were flat sixes (various turbo Porsches).

One was a 9-second Supra. He didn't have the boost up to that measure on the street but I can't even begin to tell you how much that car pulled as the RPMs got higher. I felt pinned to the seat like I was in that gravitron ride at carnivals. It was exhilarating, but it didn't have that instant "snap your neck" torque like my V8 cars. The sound was horrible as well.

The other one was a high 11's Integra. It was sort of the the same in that the speed gains and the boost builds. There is none of that slam you in the seat feeling but more of a gradual pulling my *** into the seat feeling. It sounded so damn horrible that I was embarrassed when we were driving back to the office .

I hate the stripes, and the number in the red area, all this looks like they ran out of time and throw whatever they find to the car, but they have done this before with the 5th gen pace cars.

I'm not really digging the roof line of the convertible. I like my 4th-gen top much better, so the coupe is likely to be my pick. However, the black 'verts with black tops look pretty sweet.

I've driven a 1LT with an automatic and I'd not pick that setup at all. I've driven the SS with both the auto and the manual and either of those are great -- with my choice being a stick. I really want to drive a manual six-cylinder, but I've not had a chance yet.

Since I already have a garage dweller in my 30th 'vert (trying to keep the miles low) my next car will be a driver -- maybe every day. Because of that, I really am leaning towards a 6-cylinder, but I have to drive the manual to make the final call.

All that said, I think the M6, 2LT 45th Anniversary might do the trick. I'll decide on 'vert or coupe later, but I'm leaning to the coupe.

FYI, your asterisks confused me slightly. You had one for each line. Please clarify. Possibly my selection is invalid.

Re: 2012 Camaro: 45th Anniversary Edition, New 323 HP 3.6L LFX V6

the asterisks were cheap way to say that those trims, and i actually missed the new 2LS trim, were the ones where the convert and 45th were available. but i'm no CamaroScotty, so please refer to your local dealer/chevy orderign system for accuracy.

this will help!

God Bayer, as if a 45th anniversary car doesn't make me feel old -- 50th is painful. I was 10 when the Camaro came out! It doesn't seem like that long ago. Really.

That is what got my attention the most. It is great to hear GM listening to its customers/critiques and responding quickly.

I am VERY anxious to hear how this new suspension option performs!
