Problems Filling up the New Ride
What's happing guys !! Just got a new 1 ss and have alot of plans for the car. Brand new to the forums so hello to everyone. Love the new ride, but am having trouble filling it up with fuel. You can't even squeeze the gas pump handle more the about a quarter inch without the pump cutting off. I know that its the pressure that causes the pumps to cut off. Is it possible that my air line going to the charcoal filter is plugged or fowled. Any help or suggetions would be great. I have my car up twice now and it takes about 20 mins to fuel up which is unexceptable in my opinion. Thanks in advance !!

I am not sure if there is a way to word this delicately without it resulting in snickers and snide comments...
Don't put the tube in as far as it can go and then pump the gas. Put it in all the way, and then back it off a couple of inches and then pull the trigger and see if that helps.

Trust me bro, your not got hurt my feelings. I do have a 3rd grade education........hehe !!I filled up again today (prior to reading your post) I actually have had to pull to nosel all the way out of the hole and watch the flow of 94 octane flow into the car. That is the only way it will not shut off. I was just curious if any other owners have had this problem. The problem with pulling the nosel all the way out is OVERFLOW onto my new paint. It's a bummer. I will stop by the dealer in the am and find out what the deal is !!

I've had issues with multiple stations here in CA. Our nozzles have a vapor capture "tube" that a PITA. I hold the nozzle upside down and that keeps the trigger lock from prematurely triggering. Of course I have to hold the nozzle during the fill cycle. Anyone in CA got a better technique?
