2011 Export Camaro Details & Differences
Last week, we introduced you to Klaus, Scott Settlemire’s Export Camaro. CamaroZ28.Com now allows you to get up close and personal, and to check out the complete details. Every visible difference between Klaus and the North American version of the 2011 Camaro is covered in our gallery.
The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro will feature 323 horsepower, or 11 more ponies than the 2011 model. Engineers were able to add extra power by allowing the high-tech mill to breathe better. To do this, intake airflow was improved by seven percent through extensive simulation and bench testing. As a result, power is up by 11 horsepower, while exhaust flow is improved by 10 percent. Engineers also manged to remove an incredible 13 pounds from the 3.6-liter by integrating the exhaust manifolds into the aluminum cylinder head. This change meant that a pair of old-school iron manifolds, 12 bolts, a pair of gasket and heat shields with six more bolts were eliminated.
To celebrate veteran’s day, CamaroZ28.Com presents a wonderful video taking a tour around the entire American Pride Camaro. Hosted by Scott “The Fbodfather” Settlemire and artist Mickey Harris. This powerful video provides an in-depth look at this incredible piece of artwork.
The production 2010 Camaro Synergy Green Special Edition will appear at the 2010 NAIAS and then at select shows later this winter and early spring. Click here to view photos and read the press release!
